There you will enjoy a privileged spot with the finest views over the mouth of the River Miño. What is more, at 341 metres high, your eyes will reach as far as the mountains of Portugal.

The summit of this mountain has been inhabited since prehistory, so it also lets you come across petroglyphs, and you can visit the Santa Tegra hillfort settlement, one of the best known in Galicia.

A Guarda is also famous for the way it prepares its lobsters, and even pays tribute to them with the Lobster Festival held in summer. If you are visiting, do not miss the chance to taste this seafood in one of its restaurants.

San Andrés de Teixido in Cedeira

In the municipality of Cedeira, home to countless natural attractions including beaches and cliffs, stands the Sanctuary of San Andrés de Teixido, a unique enclave you cannot miss for anything in the world.

This sanctuary is one of the best known in all of Galicia, and once you reach it you should also go to the cliffs of Vixía Herbeira, which rise more than 600 metres high and are considered the tallest in all of Europe. It is also very close to Cedeira, and if you have time you can plan a visit to explore the town and dine at one of its restaurants.

Shortly before reaching the A Curota viewpoint, you will find a spot called Curotiña, which offers the best view of the Arousa estuary.
